My toddlers wake up super early each morning, which puzzles me because I’m known in my family for sleeping in. It skipped a generation, I guess! I though I’d have to live with it, but then I heard about My Baby Zoo’s Sleeptrainer clock!

Daddy I miss you so much!
I miss my daddy! I thought I was doing good. Then the tears start to flow. I have good days and really miss him days. It's almost like...Oh, my dad passed away. Like I just remember and that he is not just in Ariz. with mom. This is so hard. I depended on him to keep my spirits up when I was down or when I just needed a hug. The kind you can only get from your daddy. I had the best dad ever. He always gave us hugs and kisses and a word of encouragement, just because he loved us and knew we needed a boost for the day.

Oh, how I miss him. I need to just talk to him. I know he is always here with us. But, it is just so, so hard. I can't believe he is not here. How does mom ever do it? I have a hard time talking to her because I miss him even more. I give his shirt a big hug and smell him. Just pretend he is hugging be back.
I need to stop this. I just have to know he is so much better off then any of us.
Daddy I love you and miss you so much!
Summer In FishLake
For the past few months I have been living in our trailer up at FishLake. It has been so nice not to worry over a house to keep clean. I have had very mixed emotions being away from my sweet husband. He is always doing so much for me....I'm sure in some ways it is a break for him also. I do miss him during the week. He has been coming to see me on Wed. once in a while and staying over night. He has to get up so early to get to work on time. I worry about him traveling on the HWY that early in the morning with all the deer out. He has always come up on Friday after work and spends the weekend. Rick leaves his boat at the dock and has had a good time fishing on the weekends. He caught a 18lb Mack! He has caught other nice size fish, but always throws them back. Jace was with him when he caught the mack. It was exciting for both of them. No pics though??? He didn't have his camera with him... and neither one of them had their cell phones to take a pic.... The first chance Rick got, he bought a water proof camera to keep in the boat so he won't miss those Kodak moments,
It's been fun having Kamie and Dustyn come up and spending a few weekends in their tent. JaKell came with the kids and spent a few days, then Brandon came up few days later.
Jace has comes when he can and brings Katie once in a while. She is a cute girl. Fun to be around! Chet is to busy for us most of the time. He works out of town during the week killing Crickets and grasshoppers.... So he likes to spend the weekends with his friends.
My Mom and Dad come up when they have a good day and spend a few hours with us. I love them to come when every they can get a way. Dad is still getting his weekly blood transfusions and mom has had her knee operated on. She is getting around a little more every day. They are so sweet to bring me wonderful veggies out of their garden and a picnic.
LaPreal and Larry and their family came one
Sunday with mom and dad and brought Sunday Lunch. Annette and her Girls and their cute babies came for an afternoon visit. It is always fun to see family and spend a piece of Heavenly Fathers creations with them.
My time a Fish Lake is going by sooo fast!
I have loved Reading lots of books, make cards, and Listening to books on tape. My sweet husband has hooked up Dish for me so I don't miss out on my favorite shows. I hooked up to Internet....can't keep a signal when it gets a connection. So that has been a waste. I wanted contact with Rick whenever and not have to drive out on the point to get cell service. We have had some good dutch oven and grilled meals. Or we enjoy going out to eat at the Bowery Cafe.. They have good food and Sue and Jeff are really good to us.
When we all get together our entertainment are the dang pot guts and the chipmunks! Rick set up a make shift trap... They run under a lid of a end table top with sides. Then Rick pulls a string hooked to a small stick and it traps the varmints for only a few sec. then they take off and come right back for more. Ya, sometimes we have to be creative to entertain our guest!
I love the outdoors. I don't spend much time outside. It's hard to get around, so I enjoy it in small spurts. I mostly read and get up and move around to keep active. I would love to be able to go for long walks. I would bring my dog up and we could follow the trails. I have thought about bring my wheel chair just to go for a stroll. I don't want it to get dirty and Fish Lake doesn't have very good wheel chair access. Sad for those who would love to enjoy the outdoors!
Dad in the Hospital... The power of Priesthood Blessings!
This is my Aunt Tess (Valdon's Wife). Stayed with Mom while dad is sick. she has been such a good help to Mom!Q
The past two weeks have been so much of and emotional, scary situations. We have had my father in the hospital with his blood disorder.. Myelodysplastic Syndrome. He has also had Cellulites in his knee and leg. Through testing it was confirmed that the infection was in the bone. It has been so sad seeing him suffer with so much pain. Dad had suffered with a hurt back for the past month. It was getting harder for him to get around. The doctors told dad that the infection would continue to spread through out his body, because his body was so week from kemo and his body not able to produce blood. The infection would eventually shut down his organs and he would then pass away. Dad was give several blessing that told us all different. He was told that he would recover and he had more to complete here on earth. Dad told the doctor that it wasn't his time to go yet. The doctor said, " Well, if you do leave you will always have this infection in your leg and it will eventually take your life."
Dad's fever soon went down and was doing much better. He was able to respond to us more and more, when we would visit him. Poor mother has really gone through a lot seeing her husband so sick. It was good for her to see him progress and start to make a turn around for the better. After several testing showing the infection was in the bone... Dad was given an MRI and the results was an answer to our prayers. The infection was not in his bone any more and he would soon be able to go home, if his fever continued to stay down. Dad has also had several units of blood in the hospital to keep his blood levels up. His blood levels had done better than they had for 9 or 10 months. He was given 4 units and it lasted for 10 days. The doctors aren't going to wait for his blood levels to drop so low. They always wait way to long and his body had a hard time playing their game of catch up. So from now on he will get blood transfusions as soon as he needs them!!! Yes, this has been a real struggle getting the doctors on the same page. His doctor in Provo, his doctor in Gunnison and the doctor in Richfield. It is about time !

Dad was able to come home on Thurs. 4/16/09. What a miracle! Thanks to all the family prayers and priesthood blessings. He surly has been blessed. Mother has also needed all the prayers she can get... to make it through this rough time. She has had to go home every night not knowing if dad was going to be there in the morning. She is so thankful to get him home. She and my Aunt Tess has gone home and cleaned up all the dust bunnies and finger prints from kids. This is in hopes that dad will stay healthy and not catch any left behind colds or other infections.
I was able to get a picture of dad and mom before he left the hospital. I also got a picture before he had to go to the hospital. He looks really good now, just tired. He was so happy to see his home again. He wasn't sure if he ever would. Then he was determined his life was not yet complete. He is a great reminder to us of how the priesthood blessings work and how with out faith he would never have made it.
Thank you all for your prayers and your Faith in Healing.
Mom needs all our prayers... Her sister Aunt Leida Hatch Passed away tonight, just after 10:pm

CamRee, Tryen and Hadi spending a week with Grandma and Grandpa
Before Easter Weekend...CamRee and Tryen and Hadi spent some time with Grandma and Grandpa. We had a good time. I'm not good taking pic's. I had some Really good helpers loading the Trailer. It was a Huge job!!! The first camping trip of the year. We had to load every thing in in it. Not just food... spices, toilet paper, paper towel, dish rags and much, much more. Ask Grandpa he had to haul the Trailer up with his Big Red Dodge! Thank Heaven's a they are use to me....
Tryen and CamRee ran in and out with bags of stuff. Hadi helped me inside, she had a cold and Grandma didn't want her running out side. The weather was warm, then windy then raining. We played games and made cookings when the weather was bad.
Grandpa and Grandma helped the kids color 64 eggs. They had a good time. First thing JaKell said, " Did you get pictures of the kids coloring eggs?" "No, dang!!!! I forgot!!!" We had a lot going on. It would have been fun to get pictures. The kids did get tired out.
CamRee, Tryen and Hadi gave Grandma this book a couple of years ago. I have loved it sooo much. I keep it on my Dresser. CamRee asked every day, "Grandma can I read, Guess How Much I Love You?" She picked up the book and just read it! For being in First Grade and just learning to read I couldn't believe it! She didn't miss a word. She read it flaunt also. She is a Super Reader!!!!! We had a great time camping this past week. Thurs. afternoon Rick took JaKell, Hadi, CamRee, Tryen and myself with our big trailer to Piute. Kamie, Dustyn and BRUCE, Jace and Tina brought Mojo, Tytin, and Aspen, their dogs. Rick came up with Brandon Fri. after work.
We ate lots of food, Experienced several weather changes and had a great time being with family. (I hope everyone had a good time.) I love to go camping even if I don't get out of my trailer very much. I love being with my family especially when we are all there!
Oh, we also had some good laughs. CamRee, Tryen and Hadi keep everyone entertained.
It's Time!!!
This may be a little to soon...but, I may have some Great News!!!!
I'm looking into getting the Lap-Band!!!! I'm really scared and yet I'm soo happy. I know it will really help me. My back doctor said It won't help with the nerve damage. But, it will help with my knees and back pain.
For years I took walking for granted! Now, It's a struggle to walk very far. If walk to far or over do it one day, I pay for it for a week. The Nerve goes out of control.
With the lack of exercise it will make it harder and slower to lose all this weight...but...It will be gone! My small body is dieing to get out!! It may soon, (a year or so) be free again! It's been so trapped, with all this protective coating, for far to long! It is time to let my inner self FREE!!!!
I have to get the mind set that our social life can't be based around food. It has been that way all my life, especially the past 8 years. I have a very limited social life. Eating out has been my time out of the house or the only thing Rick and I have done socially for years.
When the pain gets bad, I reached for food as away to stop the pain, I know it has only makes life worse mentally and physically. Food never has made the pain go away. It has only been a temp band aid for a few short seconds taking my mind off of the pain.
I have looked over the, Stay Away from food list, and the short, Eat Only foods. It's scary how anyone can live on 2 0z. of food, 3 x's a day. I have read positive out comes and not so positive.
If anyone out there has had this procedure done.... Or..... where the best place to go for the Lap-Band. I would appreciate all the help I can get. I have researched the procedure for a long time. Now it is time to choose a procedure and where. Then go for it!!

My new ride!!
I was so excited to get my new ride this week. My new Jazzy (wheelchair) came. It is going to be so nice!! I have been scared to go anywhere on my other one. It has had its up and downs for a couple of years. It's been in the repair shop up North three times.
Last summer I went with my sisters on a trip to Ariz. to spend time with my Parents. We had a great time. The only problem I had was my chair was a real pain! We had to go into Mexico for my sisters dentist appointments, and check out the fun bargins. We had just made it over the boarder. There was a steep ramp I had to go up to get to the stores. Half way up the dang thing r just stopped! I couldn't do anything. Thank heavens the breaks kick in when the wheels stop. Yeah, it was reallll fun, Not!!! I couldn't get out of the chair because of the incline. It is way to heavy to move. Outside the stores were Mexicans tring to get people to go their stores for perscriptions. Three of them helped me out of my chair. They had to pick up the heavy thing and move it out of the way. I put it into neutral, so they pushed it a few stores down in front of the dentist and doctors offices.
I didn't know what to do. I called Rick to find the number for Alpine Medical in SLC, UTAH! I called Alpine Medical they told a few things it could be. I was layed on the ground in the middle of the walk way, on the phone yelling, because of the conection so wonderful. There were several people outside of doctors and dentist offices, on benches waiting for their turn, watching this strange lady put on a show. There were some nice people who offered to take a look to see what they could do.. They had as much knowledge of repairing a wheelchair as I did. But, they were sweet to try. I just wanted to lay there and cry. I didn't know what I was going to do. We hadn't gone anywhere in Mexico yet. But, I was thankful not to be any further into Mexico stranded on some strange dirt road. Two dential assistants pushed my chair across the street and helped me flag down a Mexican Officer. They explained in Spanish what the problem was. The officer helped us get back over the boarder and avoid the long line, several blocks long. He officer directed us to the front of the handicap line. I felt bad my sisters had to push my chair so far, but they were glad to have to have saved the several hours we would have wasted waiting in line. I was so glad I had my cane with me!! I just had to take my dear sweet long time...... I missed going with my sisters several places for the remainder of our trip. I enjoyed Mom and dads park model and rested. I still had a good time just being with my sisters and my parents.
We can laugh about it now......but, I haven't for gotten it.
Rick took the chair to SLC to be repaired. It had to have new hand controls. The arm on the chair had cut the wires in half. It was put together wronge when it was wired! I have had problems with the tires making strange noises. ( They sounded like I had clipped a card with a clothes pin in the spokes) I don't enjoy drawing so much to myself! I asked the repair man to please fix the tire. We left the chair for a week or so. No such luck with the wheels, they continued to clang!
My next major experience, my chair stopped on me, ime was in the middle of the cruise ship. We were on a family vacation to Mexico! The halls on the ships are not that wide. I was stuck right in the middle! No one could go around me and my heavy chair. People asked if they could help. This old couple were the first to stop and ask if they could help me. I didn't want them getting hurt moving it. A couple of men we just moving it out of the hall when...My sweet Husband came down the hall to my rescue. He pushed it back to the stateroom and took it apart. He did get it to run, but it wouldn't charge. I plugged it into every outlet near where we would stop. It tired to charge it all night and it wouldn't charge. Rick took the chair apart again and repaired it enough that it would charge, but he trusted it as much as I did. Rick stayed on the ship the next day. He was afraid if he left me I would be stranded somewhere. I couldn't convince him to get off and have fun with the kids. We sat stareing out the ship window watching all the happenings going on around us. I felt bad Rick didn't go with the kids. They had a great time pearasailing.
When we got back home we took my chair to SLC again! I asked them to also check the tires again. The repair man couldn't find the problem. My wheels continue to clang.
Long story Just to express how much I love my new JAZZY!
Yeah, I still love older one. It did get me around alot of places, between the break downs. It will be great to take camping...so I can keep my new Jazzy CLEAN.

What a great look to my Blog: Thanks Kamie!!!!
Wow don't you love my Blog??!!
Thanks to my daughter, Kamie, I have a new look to my Blog. She is so good to help me change the look and add pictures. I haven't had a camera for so long. I have no excuse now... Rick gave a nice camera for Christmas. I love it! Now I have to learn how to load them on my blog, That's How long it has been since I added Pics.
We had a great time! On the Mexican Riviera Cruise, the Sapphire Princess We decided to all save our money and go on this cruise and not give gifts. We gave the kids each $200. for their gift. Chet got all nice clothes for his Christmas, so he would dress nice. Of course Rick spoiled me like always...I got a nice camera and a computer to take. I laid in the back seat all the way to L.A. playing computer games. I had pillows all around me. The only hard time I had, traveling, was getting out at the rest stops. We stayed by the port and was ready to go the next morning, January 31st. I felt bad it was my dads Birthday and he wasn't doing well when I left. It was Rick's moms birthday and she got really sick and they had to back out at the last minute. We sailed off after all the safety stuff was completed. The Kids partied most of the night with the crew. (The sailaway party.) Rick was feeling sick. He wasn't sure if it was the BK we had at the Hotel or the Sea. That night, Sunday, Rick woke up in the night sicker. He knew it had to be more than sea sick. He could decide to sit or stand when he would run the the restroom. He couldn't handle it any more...he was sweating, and had the chills. At 3:00 am he walked down to see if he could find someone to find something to help him. They told him to get back to his room STAT and don't leave and the doctor would be up. He didn't want to wake me. I had a hard time getting my foot to calm down so I could sleep. I wish he would have!! Then I wouldn't have woke up to the Has Mat Crew. The crew was 3 to 4 guys in suits scrubbing the room down and the doctor just came through the door. He was told he had the flu and was not to leave his room for anything, until further notice. So he stayed in the room all of Monday. I ordered room service for him, soup, crackers and jell-o. He got a release from the doctor to get off the ship at the first port Tues. morning. They still scrubbed the room for 2 more days. I got sick and slept the whole time they were gone to Puerto Vallarta. I had gotten my flu shot, so I didn't have it anything like Rick! He had 102 temp. and white as a ghost. I felt better that evening and ate with the family. We had the best meals in the world, ( you know how it is). The service was unreal. We had some fun waiters. It's so amazing with a ship full of 2,7??(forgot) passengers, they were still be so nice to every table. I know with 5 huge dinning rooms it's spread out, but still! During the days I rested up while the family went off the ship or did their own things. I wanted to do things with them in the evenings. In the evenings we would go to shows or karaoke. It was so fun!! We met a few groups from SLC area. When it got late, I went to bed and the kids did their own thing. Kamie and Dustyn, JaKell and Brandon and Chet all had a great time!! After Rick felt better he did also. He was sad I didn't get off the ship with them or do things with them during the day. I was fine with it. I loved my Jazzy...some of the time! It broke down on me in the hall once and I had to have some help getting me and it back to my stateroom. I then wouldn't charge! Rick finally found the fuse was loose! I have had problems with it before and had it looked at in SLC. They said it was fine....well I had a few things to tell them while I was stuck in the small hall and couldn't walk. Then I loved it again! We also had a nice large stateroom and Handicap bathroom. I could drive my chair in to the restroom if I needed to. That's how big it was. It was one huge Shower with a toilet with a dragon in it! We told Chet he needed to go shower just once in JaKell's or Kamie's shower, Just to see how small they were. You just have to soap the sides and spin and your clean. Heaven forbid if you drop your soap in those small showers!!! He wouldn't do it go try them!!He slepped in a bed that came down out of the ceiling. They would make it every day like ours and put choc. on his pillow. He also met a cute girl from L.A. She's really cute and tiny. She is 23 and liked to drink a little. But, he drank his cokes. She said we had a good kid!! We drove home Saturday. It snowed and rained for 400 miles. When we got close to St. George it quit! We came home to cold and it was so nice there. High 70's and lower 80's.I'm now trying to get use to cooking again! And cleaning! Dang!
